Living By Faith

By Brandon Lemons

We all face obstacles, and we all are flawed. Many of us feel woefully unprepared for the difficulties life is throwing at us. However, there is good news: God is powerful, loving, and completely trustworthy, and He wants to empower us to be overcomers. We can’t do it on our own. In and of ourselves, we are weak. But as we live by faith – fixing our eyes not on what is seen but on what is unseen – God will fill us with strength to face our challenges with a resilience and joy that glorifies Him!

These are the types of topics we will be studying in our new sermon series called Living By Faith, which begins this Sunday. Living By Faith walks through Hebrews 11. Hebrews 11 is frequently called the “Hall of Faith” – a Hall of Fame for men and women who demonstrated great faith in God. One of the things I appreciate about Hebrews 11 is that the people who are featured were not perfect. Many had significant struggles and sins – just like we do.

If you, or someone you know, is trying to figure out how to trust and follow God amid life’s challenges, this series is for you! If you are feeling worn down by the struggles of life, or even by the pressure to be a “good Christian,” this series is for you! If you wrestle with doubts about God, this series is for you! If you feel like you are too ordinary or too sinful for God to be pleased with you and work through you, this series is for you!

Whether you are engaging in-person or online, I encourage you to check out Living By Faith, which begins this Sunday!
