Oneness Embraced Book Study
America is experiencing major racial tension, and Friedens’ leaders believe it is important to equip the church family to handle these topics well. If you’d like to grow in understanding and dialoguing about racial topics from God’s perspective, we invite you to join Friedens’ new book study featuring Oneness Embraced by Tony Evans. The group(s) will meet weekly for six weeks, beginning the first week of October. Specific meeting times and details will be based on the number and schedule of those who are interested. Books provided at no cost.
Women's Tuesday Bible Study
Scouting the Divine: Searching for God in Wine, Wool and Wild Honey by Margaret Feinberg. Despite the Bible’s richness and depth, many of us struggle to close the gap between the ancient world and our own. What does it mean to know that Jesus is the Good Shepherd when the only place you’ve encountered sheep is at a petting zoo? How can you understand the promise of a land overflowing with honey when you buy yours in a bear shaped bottle? Can you grasp the urgency of Jesus’ invitation to abide in the vine when you shop for grapes at a grocery store? Explore how ancient livelihoods illuminate meaningful Christian truths that apply to life today.
This six week DVD study will be held on Tuesdays, October 13, 20, 27 and November 10, 17, and 24, 6:30 - 8 pm, at Litha Mueller’s home. (No meeting on November 3.) Books will cost around $10-12 depending on how many sign up. Please sign up by October 1 so Doris can order books.
