It is hard to believe that Christmas is only three months away, and it is time once again to fill boxes of hope for delivery to children around the world through Operation Christmas Child! Friedens has already received its shipment of 100 boxes which you can find on a special table in Fellowship Hall. Ideas for packing boxes are in ”How To Pack a Shoebox” brochures on the table or on line at www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/pack-a-shoe-box. Please take, fill and return these boxes no later than Sunday, November 15, 2020 along with a donation of $9 (per box ) for shipping and handling which can be paid on line at www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/ways-to-give (please print a receipt and place with your boxes) or by check made payable to “Samaritan’s Purse”. If you use the “Follow Your Box” feature online, you can also discover the destination of your shoebox!
A new feature this year is the “Build a Shoebox For Me” function which can be done online for $25 (again, please print out a receipt so that we can count your “virtual boxes” in our total). You never have to leave home! Boxes created online are not only super easy to create, but are reported to pass through Customs in countries which are more difficult for missionaries to penetrate.

The pandemic has affected children all over the world this year. Packing a box for a needy child is a safe and easy way to spread God’s love and assist missionary efforts around the world.
