COVID-Related Ministry Updates
Wisconsin is no longer under a mask mandate; however, our church family and guests have a variety of perspectives and priorities when it comes to Covid-19. We are attempting to provide options, both for those who prefer not to wear a mask and those who are vulnerable and cannot reasonably attend without masks being required. At the same time, there are many factors beyond our control, and a return to “normal” is going to take time. As we continue navigating the complexities of this unprecedented time, it is important to remember that our unity in Christ is of utmost importance. The essence of the second greatest commandment “to love your neighbor as yourself” is to hold their needs at the same level as your own. This calls for a spirit of goodwill, respect, and grace.
Masks are required for the 8:15am service, including fellowship time before and after the service. Masks are optional for the 10:30am service.
The nursery is currently closed.
An in-person Sunday School option will be available April 11-May 23, and masks are required. Optional video lessons are still available for those who prefer to do Sunday School from home. Please Contact Us if you would like to participate in either option so that we will have workstations and materials ready.
High School Sunday School
Pastor Michael will host a hang-out and discipleship time at church at 9:30am on Sundays for those who are interested. Based on the survey, we have a slightly higher percentage of older students whose families are interested in attending in-person activities on Sunday mornings this fall.
Sunday Morning Adult Classes
At 9:30am on most Sundays, there will be both in-person and online classes for adults. These classes are mask-optional. Learn more about class options here.
Adult Small Groups
Adult small groups will continue meeting during the week. Some groups are in person, and some meet online. Mask requirements are at the discretion of the group. Contact us if you are interested in joining a group.
Midweek will continue to meet on Wednesday nights. Masks are still required.
Additional precautions such as social distancing and extra cleaning will be implemented. If there is a confirmed exposure to COVID-19 at any of Friedens’ ministry activities, we will do our best to alert those who participated in that activity.
No food or coffee will be served in Fellowship Hall until further notice.
