Community Blood Drives

Friedens is a regular host site for Community Blood Drives (about every other month). Please check our events page to see upcoming drives and how to sign up to donate.

Port Washington Food Pantry

We are collecting donations for the Port Washington Food Pantry. There is a barrel outside the main entrance (Milwaukee St.). Items will be delivered to the Food Pantry on Tuesdays. Current needs are: toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, shampoo, bath soap, body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, shaving cream, laundry detergent pods, jams/jellies, pasta, RiceARoni, taco shells, graham crackers, snack puddings, canned chili, syrup, salad dressings, mayonnaise, canned fruit, freeze dried hash browns, pasta sauce, pancake mix. Donations of money can also be made; mail your check to the church with Port Washington Food Pantry in the memo. If you have a donation item that is too big to fit in the bin, contact Pastor Michael (or use the contact form below) to arrange drop off.

If you or someone you know needs access to help from the Food Pantry, here are some locations: Port Washington Food Pantry, Saukville Food Pantry, Ozaukee Family Sharing. Please contact these organizations directly as some have limited pick up options due to COVID-19.

Mask Making

Lincoln Village and Heritage Health & Rehab Center are organizations in Port Washington that have expressed the need for donated masks. If you'd like to make and donate masks, contact the church office or use the contact form below. Bags of fabric (no elastic) are also available to pick up. Masks will be delivered on a weekly basis.

Below are some links to patterns, though any pattern is acceptable:

Letter & Card Writing

We encourage sending notes, artwork, etc. to those who serve in our community or to residents of local nursing homes. Friedens frequently announces card drives for specific locations, or see the suggestions below.

  • Create a piece of artwork with your kids if you are doing school at home.

  • Send a card/note to one of the groups listed below. We would encourage you to sign your name and include Friedens Church under your name.

  • Color a page from an Adult Coloring book or go online to and print out one of the free coloring pages that you can complete and send out.

  • Come up with your own unique idea.

The following are suggestions for groups or facilities that would love to receive items. If there is an organization or nursing home that is close to your heart, feel free to include them as well!
