The Kensel Family — Dan, Deb, John, James & Steven
"We are doing church planting among the Southern Pwo Karen people of Thailand. We are living in a town close to the forest and go up to the village for a month or so at a time. The folks have heard the gospel, and there are some believers and some that say they are believers but appear to be caught in the trap of trying to obey the law rather than simply trust in Jesus' work for salvation. There is still much interest and the believers are hungry for more of the Word. We are planning on coming home for a six-month furlough starting this October. Please pray for the hearts of the Karen to be opened to the gospel."

At times when Dan and Deb make the trip to the Village it is necessary for them to travel by elephant because of roads being washed out. Can you imagine a 5-hour trip one way on elephant with 3 young children?!
Dan and Deb sign most of their correspondence Alive in Christ. I think that is a good description for them.
