Pastor's Corner Pastoral Message for September, 2001

This month we feature a joint message from both pastors.

Greetings from Pastor Mark & Pastor Matt…

What is Sunday morning worship for? Is it for praising God? Is it for prayer? Is it for fellowship? Is it for teaching from God's Word? Is it for the giving of our offerings?

It's all of the above! Worship is an act of service. Our participation, more so than our attendance, contributes to real worship. The more each of us participates, with heart-felt enthusiasm, in all the parts of worship, the greater our worship will be — that is, worship that pleases God, worship that enriches each worshipper, and worship that empowers our everyday mission and ministry.

We have been prayerfully planning our worship themes for September and we believe God wants to really bless this church through our worship together. Here's a preview!

September 2nd "The Church's Labor of Love: Relationship Building"
September 9th "The Church's Labor of Love: Ministry Building"
September 16th "The Church at Prayer: Talking to God"
September 23rd "The Church at Prayer: God Talks Back"
September 30th "The Church at Prayer: Stepping Out in Faith"
  • "Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker." (Psalm 95:6)

  • "I rejoiced with those who said to me, 'Let us go to the house of the Lord." (Psalm 122:1)

  • "Praise the Lord. Sing to the Lord a new song, His praise in the assembly of the saints.' (Psalm 149:1)
