A Big Day Is Coming

And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you; for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom." (Matthew 26:27-29)

When we take the bread and the cup at Communion, we do so to remember what Christ did for us in dying for our sins. But we also do so to remember the promise of Christ's return. We will drink that drink with Him again in heaven. That is a great hope. To remember that death is not the end and that a day will come when we will lift the cup together with him - a great toast to the Lord's victory over sin and death. And two other things are going to happen in that day. One is that "He will wipe every tear from their eyes" (Revelation 21:4). Not angels with boxes of Kleenex, but God himself, will wipe away every sadness, every regret, every painful memory. And the other thing that will happen is that "He will rejoice over you with singing" (Zephaniah 3:17). The only time God sings, the Bible says, will be when you join him in heaven. That will be a great day.

Internet Evangelism Day

April 24 is "Internet Evangelism Day," a day to promote the Internet as a device to help spread the Gospel. "The Internet is one of the most key tools that God has given us in the church today," says George Verwer, founder of Operation Mobilization. At www.InternetEvangelismDay.com are many downloadable materials, including a 5-minute video testimony of Kristi (a student who found God online), short drama scripts, PowerPoint presentations, discussion questions, and many helpful links. Also check out the Internet Evangelism Coalition at to learn more about how to reach others for Christ around the world on the Internet.

Take the Journey

The Christian life doesn't end when a person accepts Christ as his or her personal Savior. It's just the beginning of a new journey, "a pilgrimage of faith, that involves miscalculations, thrills and hardship, long periods of waiting, and long periods of simply trudging. Faith means striking out, with no clear end in sight and perhaps even no clear move of the next step. It means following, trusting, holding out a hand to an invisible Guide. Faith is reason gone courageous." Read more from Philip Yancey here.

Reconnecting After Marital Meltdowns

Because nobody is perfect, there will be emotional meltdowns, communication faux paus and plain old mistakes in your marriage so you need to be good at recovering, recuperating and reconnecting. Find out how.
