Easter Reflections
Christ didn't die and rise from the dead so we could have a holiday once a year. His resurrection is a life-changing event that affects us every day. Here are some web links to help you further deepen your remembrance of the reality of Christ's life and death:
- Visit Bitter Journey: The Way of the Cross and click on the multimedia presentation based on traditions associated with Tenebrae services, the Stations of the Cross,* and the Lamentations of Good Friday.
- Every story has a beginning, middle and end. The death and resurrection of Christ is the middle of God's story. Read "The Easter Story: From tree to tree to tree."
- Read The Passion of Judas, a reflection on U2's "Until the End of the World."
- "Evidence for the Resurrection" by Josh McDowell.
- The Magic of Three Days, an Easter classic.
- The Lord's Prayer Special Edition Movie Online, an inspirational flash movie website that will deepen your appreciation of this well-known Scriptural passage.
- The Interactive Passion History offers a virtual trip to Calvary. Choose a path, assume a fictional identity as a Bibletime person and interact with historical or fictional characters on this journey, recalling events surrounding the suffering, death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Rev. Guy Marquardt, an ordained pastor of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod and a Brazilian missionary, is the author of this inspirational Web site.
