FriedensNotes
Week of January 16, 2005
Teach me your way, O LORD; I will walk in your truth. Unite my heart to fear your name. (Psalm 86:11)
Questions
If you died today in a car accident or went to sleep tonight and never woke up, would you go to heaven? How do you know? Christians can know for certain, not because they are perfect or their good deeds outweigh their bad deeds, but because they have put their trust in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ who died in payment for their sins. But what difference does that make today in your life and the lives of others. Are you striving to be a more loving and sacrificial husband or wife, a more nurturing parent, a better friend, a more godly person in the workplace, kinder to the poor and needy? Are you striving to walk in God's truth, to have an honest, open and consistent heart that puts God first? Is going to church the only evidence that you are Christian? Do something today that has eternal repercussions.Isn't that what Jesus would do?
