"Unless we form the habit of going to the Bible in bright moments as well as in trouble, we cannot fully respond to its consolations because we lack equilibrium between light and darkness." (Helen Keller)
Read The Bible in 2005
This year, 2005, is the Year of the Bible. Have you committed to reading the Bible every day this year so that you will have read the entire Bible by year's end. Many other Friedens family members have, as have Christians all over the world. Join in. Look for the bookmark reading plans near the Welcome Center in the west foyer, look in the monthly Friedensbote. Or, go online where you can check the daily readings, find Bible study tools and even discuss what you read.
New Groups! Get Involved!
New Sunday adult discussion groups began last Sunday, but it's not too late to join in. New classes are "King David, the Man After God's Own Heart," led by Dan Benson, and "A Balanced Life: A Woman's Study," led by Doris Schlenvogt. In addition, Pastor Don continues with his study of Hebrews.

The Women's Ministry will hold a 2005 planning session at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 18 at church to plan 2005 activities. Call Deb Bendt, 284-5499 for more info.
