Being Aware is 'Awesome'!
"As he slept, he dreamed of a stairway that reached from Earth to heaven. And he saw the angels of God going up and down on it. Then Jacob woke up and said, "Surely the Lord is in this place, and I wasn't even aware of it. He was afraid and said, "What an awesome place this is!" (Genesis 28:12, 16-17) Like us, Jacob was going along minding his own business, doing the best he could to make a life for himself. Then one day, he became aware of something bigger than him and all his dreams became small and insignificant compared to the big God who had revealed himself. Are you aware of what God is doing? Would you live your life differently if you were more aware of what God is doing, of his presence? Can you find that "awesome place" that Jacob found?
