A Name Above All Names
There are about 50 names given to God in the Bible. Most of them were given to him by people who encountered him personally, usually at a point of intense need. Therefore, he is known as "Healer, Provider, Shepherd, Counselor, Mighty One, Savior, Lord Who Sees, Lord Who is There and Lord of Hosts. Have you had an encounter with God? Have you had occasion, perhaps at your lowest point, to call on the Holy One of Israel, the Ancient of Days, the First and Last, the Creator? Did he come? Did he answer? Did he deliver you? What name would you give him? What name would reflect his presence, his influence, his love in your life? "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be delivered." (Joel 2:32)
Fall Fellowship Feast
Join us after worship on Sunday, Nov. 7, for a 150th Anniversary fellowship dinner in Fellowship Hall. The dinner will feature a "historical menu" and special guests from Friedens' past. By the way, worship will be a "retro" service that day, following an order of worship from our church's history. Also, purchase some 150th Anniversary memorabilia at the table in Fellowship hall.

The 12 Tribes of American Religion
Judging from the amount of press coverage they get, you'd think the only religious groups in American politics were the religious right - and everyone else. In fact, there are 12 tribes of American religion, each with its own idiosyncracies. Get an overview of America's religious diversity and how each group differs politically and spiritually here.
