How Forgetful Are You?
How good a memory do you have when it comes to mistakes you've made, whether they occurred many years ago or perhaps just yesterday? Are you good at remembering other people mistakes, as well? God wants us to be good forgetters, just like him. "If you, O Lord, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness" – Psalm 130:3-4. Look forward with a forgiving heart and keep pressing.
Steel Yourselves
Next Saturday's 5 p.m. worship service will feature Jerry Singh and the One Way Steel Pan Orchestra. It's a great opportunity to invite a friend to church for a great time. Also visit the Fish Day grounds where the group will be performing during the day. Jerry Singh is a missionary in Wyoming with his wife.
Chicago Outreach
If you'd like to celebrate Fish Day by getting out of Port Washington or just to do something that counts for eternity, join a group of Friedens family members heading to University of Illinois-Chicago to serve a new church plant there and for evangelism. Come down for the day on Saturday or stay overnight and worship on Sunday with several dozen college students from around the Midwest. Call Dan Benson at 268-0755 for more information.
Are You Baptized?
A believer's baptism service and picnic is being planned in August at Gary and Doris Schlenvogt's house in the Town of Port Washington. If you are interested or maybe just curious, talk to any of the pastors.
Anniversary Banquet
Say "Happy Birthday Friedens" on July 30 at a special anniversary banquet at 6 p.m. at Country Inn & Suites. The dinner will be catered by Saz's State House. Tickets are $17.50 for adults and $8.50 for children. Entertainment will be provided by Christian illusionist Kirk Patrick and vocalist Shannon Patrick. Blaze to the Rescue
Friedens' teen group, Blaze, will help out at Milwaukee Rescue Mission and at Joy House from July 21 to 23. Call Doug and Marci Ferrell at 375-1009 for more information.
Awana Planning Meeting
An Awana summer planning meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. July 28 at the church. All Awana directors, leaders, helpers and youth helpers are encouraged to attend. Call Geralyn Esselman at 284-9598for more information.

Helps and Hollers

- Volunteers are needed for the early childhood ministry (formerly known as "nursery"). Call Kathy Kato at 268-6999 for more information. -- The Food Pantry special needs this week include cereal, soup, applesauce, macaroni and cheese, jelly or jam, dry milk, popcorn, and dish detergent.
