Jail Break
In Psalm 107, the psalmist recounts a story of "prisoners suffering in iron chains" (vs. 10) with no way out. But then "they cried to the Lord" and, boy, did the Lord come through: "He breaks down gates of bronze and cuts through bars of iron" (vs. 16). Whoa! Step back Arnold. Imagine God kicking in giant doors, karate chopping through iron bars to answer the cries of help, of those he loves. One of God's names is Baal Perezim -- Lord of the Breakthrough (2 Samuel 5:20). Do you need God to break through in your life? Ask. He's ready to come running.
Women's Ministry Meeting
A women's ministry meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23 at Deb Bendt's home, 615 E. Norport Drive in Port Washington. It's open to anyone-young, old or in between -- who would like to help with the women's ministry and is great opportunity to meet other women in Friedens. Call Deb for more info at (262) 284-5499.
Men's Breakfast Meeting
Guys, do you eat breakfast? Probably. Then plan on attending the Friedens' Men's Breakfast at 8 a.m. on July 10 at Bublitz's restaurant in Saukville. It will be a great time of fellowship and discussion on future activities. Call Gary Schlenvogt for more information at (262) 692-6446.
Grow by Sharing Your Faith
We are familiar with growing by "taking in", but growth also happens when we learn to share as in, sharing our faith. Get the full story.
"Saved" by Satire?
The new movie "Saved!" aims a lot of sharp-edged humor in the direction of contemporary Christian culture. How should we respond to religious satire, and how can we distinguish between helpful and degrading humor? Find further discussion here.
Here Comes the World
Do you want to be a missionary to the world? You may not have to go any further than out your front door or to your nearest college campus. As refugees seek a better life in the U.S., American Christians are discovering a foreign mission field in their own community. Read more

You can find and download a program that will rid your computer of spyware here. It's free, but they ask for a donation.
