Enjoy Each Other, Enjoy God
In Psalm 84:2, the psalmist writes: "My soul yearns, even faints for the courts of the Lord, my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God!" In the Old Testament, if someone wanted to get close to God, there was no question where he should go -- the Temple in Jerusalem, God's dwelling place on Earth. Today, people still want to draw closer to God. But there's no Temple. So where do they go to get close to God? Scripture is one place, to be certain. And we can communicate with the Lord anytime and anywhere through prayer. But the Apostle Paul also writes, "Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's spirit lives in you?" (I Corinthians 3:16). God lives on Earth in his children, the saints, according to Scripture. Do you want to draw closer to God? Draw closer to each other. As Jesus said, "For where two or three come together in my name, there I am." (Matthew 18:20).
Saturday Service Goes Weekly
After being held once a month on an experimental basis, the Saturday evening contemporary worship service will be held weekly beginning this Saturday, April 24. The more casual service will feature contemporary worship music. It is especially geared toward teenagers and those in their 20s who are seeking a more relevant worship experience. It also is aimed at those who find it difficult to attend Sunday worship because of work or family commitments. Nursery will be available. Also, volunteers are needed to help operate the sound board and Power Point, as well as to help start a drama ministry.
Just a Few Days to '40 Days'
There's still time to sign up for a "40 Days of Purpose" discussion group. Groups, each numbering 6 to 10 people, will meet once a week for 90 minutes in almost every northern Ozaukee County community and on every day of the week. Call Theresa Zahurance at 268-6839 about space availability in the 30-some groups being formed or check the sign-up board in the church lobby. Also, plan on attending worship each Sunday during the six-week program when Pastor Mark will share messages related to the material being covered in the discussion groups.

Christians Are Bad for Business
In Chiapas, Mexico, an estimated 35,000 Tzotzil- and Tzeltal-speaking Christians live in exile because of their faith. Community leaders, call caciques, use threats, beatings, arson, and murder to drive out Christian families because they fear evangelicals will infect their neighbors with their beliefs, causing them to spurn drinking and other customs that earn the caciques a lot of money. See this and other stories about persecuted Christians worldwide at http://www.odusa.org.
Living Letters from God
You are God's love letter written to the world. What do other people read in you?
Can Our Children Survive College?
Research shows that half of all Christian high school students lose their faith by the time they graduate from college. What can we do?
