'Passion' with 'Purpose'
Pastor Mark will offer a four-part Sunday morning series called "Experience the Passion," built on the themes presented in the new Mel Gibson film, "The Passion of the Christ," which debuts in area theaters on Wednesday. That series, which concludes on Easter, will be followed by "40 Days of Purpose," a series of small-group discussions on finding God's purpose for our lives. It begins on April 25. The "Passion" series will be taught during Sunday worship services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. The first in the series will be "Experience True Love" on March 21. That will be followed by "Experience Complete Forgiveness" on March 28, "Experience Ultimate Wholeness" on April 4 and "Experience Everlasting Life" on Easter Sunday, April 11. It's a great series for anyone whose interest in Christ's sacrifice will have been raised by the film. Invite a friend. The "40 Days of Purpose" program is based on the best-selling book, "The Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here For?" by Rick Warren. During the course of the program, groups of 10 or fewer people, grouped according to their ages and lifestyles will meet weekly to discuss points raised by the book to help participants discover, develop, and fulfill God's purpose for their lives. Meeting times and places will vary. Another great opportunity to invite friends and family whose search for fulfillment has been raised by this best-selling book.
'Purpose'-Full Volunteers Needed

'BLAZE' Parents Invited
Friedens' teen group, "BLAZE," will be finishing up its Tuesday night study on the Letter of James on Tuesday, March 2. To mark the occasion, parents are being invited to attend and join Blaze and Blaze leaders for dinner. The study will be held from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. at the church. BLAZE on aRescue Mission
Speaking of BLAZE, church teens will make another excursion to Milwaukee to help serve at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission from 3:15 to 7:30 p.m. on March 28. Mark your calendar.
New Life Version at Bible Gateway
The Bible Gateway – http://www.biblegateway.com/ – has added another new version to its slate of online Bibles. The most recent addition is the New Life Version, which is easy-to-understand yet faithful to the original Scriptures. On the Bible Gateway website, you can access 17 English versions of the Bible as well as Bibles in 37 different languages. You also can conduct word searches on the site. Making a Difference for Eternity
Dan Owens of Eternity Minded Ministries offers two new resources to help Christians experience more effectiveness in evangelism. The first is a free "Evangelism 101" CD. The second is the opening chapter of Owens's book, Sharing Christ When You Feel You Can't. You'll also find information on his training seminars and evangelistic festivals. The Joshua Project, sponsored by Arab World Ministries, offers "Peoples by Country Profiles" for anyone interested in missions outreach. Visit the "Joshua Project" to view data by country, people groups, religion, unreached people groups and more. Find basic statistics, together with ministry resources specific to that country or people group – Bible translation status, Jesus film availability, audio recordings and radio broadcasting information.
