Christmas Services

Friedens will host two candlelight services on Christmas Eve, at 5 and 7 p.m. Christmas Day service will be at 10 a.m. Do you know anyone who doesn't have a church home looking for a place to mark the holiday? Invite them along.

Spread the Message

Looking for a way to communicate the real Christmas message to friends, family, neighbors, the mail man, newspaper carrier, garbage man, shop keeper, checkout clerk? Visit the information table in Fellowship Hall and the welcome center in the west foyer and pick up a Holiday Tract Pack. Each packet has Christmas-themed pamphlets and tracts, church business cards. They're free, just like Christ's salvation.

Adult Rescue Mission Trip

The next scheduled trip Friedens folks to visit the Milwaukee Rescue Mission is Jan. 11. And this one is for the grown-ups. About 15 members of Blaze teen ministry visited the mission recently and helped serve meals for the men, women and families there. Teens can still go, however. Check the sign-up sheet at the information table in Fellowship Hall or call Doug and Marci Ferrell at 375-1009 for more info.

Blaze On Fire

The Blaze kids recently visited Lasata Care Center as an outreach activity, helping residents there. They also went to a Milwaukee Bucks game on a recent Friday night and had a great time. If you're a teenager (or know one), check it out. They're having a great time and, most importantly, learning God's Word and applying it to their lives -- together. Besides Sunday morning Sunday School, Blaze gets together Sunday nights at church and meets for Bible study on Tuesdays. Talk to Pastor Mark Kato for more info.

"When Things Go Wrong"

The holidays can be stressful. The way we respond to life's troubles can make the difference between getting buried by them or moving ahead with life. Dick Innes of ACTS International has written "How to Get It Right When Things Go Wrong," which offers guidance for responding well to trouble.
