FriedensNotes

Message from Pastor Mark
This is the first of what is intended to be a weekly e-mail update on what's happening in the Friedens family. The FriedensNote is an electronic supplement to what you might already receive in the monthly church newsletter, The FriedensBote, and what you read each Sunday in the church bulletin. It's a way for us to keep up to date on the great things God is doing in our church, the needs of its members and our community, and to get the word out on a variety of topics. I hope you enjoy The FriedensNote. If you have any questions, comments or offerings for publication, please send an e-mail to the church at frchurch@execpc.com. Yours in Christ, Pastor Mark
Get T.A.W.G.
Do you have T.A.W.G.? This past Sunday Pastor Mark discussed the importance of getting Time Alone With God, or T.A.W.G. and offered some tips on building a devotional habit, or Quiet Time. One way to grow in your devotional life is to join in with one of the Christian Adult classes that meet at 9:15 each Sunday between services or one of the mid-week study groups. In one Sunday class, "Habits of a Successful Christian," members discuss how to have a Quiet Time, how to improve your prayer life and how to study the Bible. On Wednesday nights, the Men's Study Group recently began studying the book of Judges. Check out the list of other classes and study groups listed in the church lobby or in the bulletin.
Next Sunday
Pastor Mark will continue his series on Experiencing Spiritual Revival with "Taking Inventory of Blessings and Gifts."

Prayer Requests (Colossians 4:2)
- Pray for our president and other government leaders as they face tremendous decisions in the coming days regarding Iraq and the fight against terrorism. Also pray for our state and local leaders as they wrestle with horrendous budget difficulties.
- Pray for our church leaders as we prepare for the re-opening of the church sanctuary, an influx of guests for Easter and as they begin the process of searching for new associate pastors. Ask God to prepare the hearts of those who will be visiting our church for the first time this Easter and of those candidates for associate pastor.

- Wish these people a Happy Birthday this week: Joe McGinty, Trent Schanen, Violet Zirbes, Joanne Kowalke, Herbert Bartelt, Herbert Schaefer and Violet Schmit.
- Wish these folks a get well: Julie DeSimone, Fred Gall, Lila Kohn, Dawn Uselding.
Servants of the Week (Matthews 20:25-28)
