Friedens
Evangelical Church offers your child exciting opportunities for involvement
in ministry. Children are important to God and also to us. Through these
ministries, we trust that your child will:
- grow in his/her relationship with God,
- build healthy and safe friendships with
others, and
- apply the teaching into his/her life.
Each ministry is designed to reach your child at
his/her individual age level. A 1st grader will learn very
differently than a 5th grader. We also recognize that we
are a resource for you, and only you can decide what is appropriate
for your child. We are here to provide, for your family, Christian Education
at its very best!

School

school offers your child an opportunity to get into God's Word at his/her
age level. We offer David C. Cook curriculum up to grade 3, and
then offer What Would Jesus Do curriculum for grades 4-5. Our
teachers and staff make learning God's Word fun and enjoyable for your
child. The purpose of Sunday School is to support you in the spiritual
development of your son or daughter.
Children's Christmas
Musical
Each year, Friedens Evangelical Church offers a
children's Christmas musical for the congregation and you to enjoy.
The musical is run by lay volunteers in the church and is supported
by staff and the Christian Education Committee. The children have a
great time bringing the Christmas story alive to us through singing
and acting. This is another great opportunity for your child to be involved.
AWANA Ministry
AWANA is Friedens' mid-week children's ministry
program for age 3 – Grade 6. We fully describe AWANA on a separate

Children's Story
Sunday morning worship is not just for adults.
We offer a time for children to come forward for a "children's story."
The children's story relates to what the Pastor is talking about that
Sunday. The children's story is done in a creative way that the children
will understand and appreciate at their grade level. It is a way for
your child to be involved in worship at Friedens.
Vacation Bible School
 In
the third week of June, we offer a week-long program for children called
Vacation Bible School. V.B.S. runs Monday through Friday morning offering
Bible time, game time, story time, music time, etc. All of these activities
are organized around a theme such as "Sonlight Island" or "Prayer Safari."
Once again V.B.S. is targeted at your child's age level and is accomplished
by more than 50 volunteers who provide this excellent week of fun and
adventure for children.
