2002 Mission Team Report
The primary responsibilities of the Missions Committee are:
- Develop a missions budget for the church focusing on supporting ministries and missions locally, regionally and globally.
- Maintain communication with those ministries and missions supported that they might receive our encouragement and prayers as well as report God's work through their efforts.
- Foster an ever-growing awareness in the hearts and minds of the Friedens family concerning our cooperative strategies to reach out beyond our church walls to promote the gospel of Christ and address the other needs of people near and far.
Our goal in 2002 was to meet every other month but the fire midyear and the rebuilding effort resulted in us meeting less often. It is our intention in 2003 to meet more regularly for prayer, to share updates about our ministry partners, and to develop and implement activities that help everyone in the church to become more mission-minded.
