From November, 2001 through January, 2002, things were "in the pink" all over Port Washington and its surrounding communities. The goal was to raise funds for the 2002 Adult Service and Outreach Project (ASOP) mission trip to Blaine, KY. Friedens folk were offered the opportunity, for a fee, to "infest" someone else's yard with a large flock of plastic flamingos. The unfortunate property owner also had to pay a removal fee to have a "Wild Game Warden" remove the unwanted pests. Ultimately over 40 yards were infested, and the fundraiser was a huge success.
