Worship Services

worship_hands1.jpg Here’s what you can expect if you attend a worship service at Friedens this Sunday:

  • You can expect someone to greet you at the door and another person to give you a church bulletin that contains an order of service, some highlights of upcoming activities and other information on the life of the church.
  • You can expect a well-run nursery with friendly staff and Sunday school programs for your children.
  • You can expect a “blended” style of worship music, ranging from hymns with organ accompaniment to more modern worship songs featuring guitars, drums and keyboards. Our motto when it comes to worship is, “It’s not about me, it’s not about you. It’s all about God.”
  • You can expect a time of prayer and a Bible-based message from one of our pastors to apply to your life.
  • If you’re a follower of Jesus Christ, you can share in the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month. You don’t have to be a Friedens member to join in.
  • Before and after the service, which lasts about one hour, you can mingle and meet new friends over coffee and snacks in Fellowship Hall.
  • Between services, from 9:15 to 10:15, Sunday School for children is held, as are sermon discussion groups for adults where you can dig deeper into that day’s sermon topic. Other discussion groups for adults on other topics are often held at that time as well. In the summer time, we have just one service at 9 a.m.
  • There also is a visitors welcome center and other areas where you can get more information on Friedens’ mission, ministries and learn about how to connect with discussion groups and service projects that occur during the week.
