Missions

One of the most important purposes for Friedens Evangelical Church is to communicate and demonstrate the life-changing love and message of Jesus Christ to as many people — locally, regionally and internationally — as we possibly can. Therefore Friedens, as a corporate entity, and its members individually commit a significant amount of money, time and energy to support people in Wisconsin, the United States and around the world who have dedicated themselves to helping those in need in body, mind and spirit.

Below are some of the missionaries Friedens supports. We also support missionaries in other politically sensitive countries but their information is not being publicized for their protection. Click on each name for more information and for links to their websites, e-mails or other contact information. Our hope is that you will support them as well.

Short-Term Missions: Friedens Evangelical Church also sponsors several short-term mission trips throughout the year lasting from weeks at a time to just a few days or even just a weekend for teens, young adults, men, women, and all ages. In 2007, groups from Friedens went to Matamoros, Mexico, through Adventures In Missions and again to New Orelans to help with Hurricane Relief efforts through the Evangelical Free Church of America, plus other locales. Past trips have gone to London to work with World Harvest Mission to reach out to the Muslim, Hindu and Sikh communities; to New Orleans and Mexico and to Poland, Romania, Canada, Kentucky, Michigan, Wyoming, Chicago, elsewhere in Wisconsin, and more.

For information on upcoming trips, call the church office at 284-2471 or e-mail to friedens@sbcglobal.net.
