Small Groups and Classes

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. … Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God …” (Acts 2)
Just like the first Christians, many of those who attend Friedens on Sunday gather during the week in small groups. They are a great way to meet people, make friends and grow in your relationship with God and with people. Connecting with others on the same journey as you will help you fully experience all that God has planned for you. Consider joining in one of these small discussion groups:

Sunday

  • Prayer partners meet at 7:30 a.m. each Sunday in the church library.
  • Sermon Discussion Groups. These groups meet during the 9:15 a.m. Sunday School hour to dig deeper into what Pastor Brandon is preaching from the pulpit during the 8 and 10:30 a.m. worship services. Look for them in Fellowship Hall or in the downstairs multipurpose room
  • “The Peacemaker.” This group meets during the 9:15 Sunday School hour in the church library. This DVD course by Ken Sande explores how we can heal broken relationships in our lives by applying the Gospel. Facilitated by Karen Wetzel,

Monday

  • High School Bible Study. 7 to 8 p.m. at Pastor David Toeller’s house in Port Washington. Call Pastor David Toeller for more information, 262-573-2526.
  • Middle School Girls Bible Study. 6:30 p.m. in Port Washington. Call Pastor David Toeller.
  • Middle School Boys Bible Study. 7 p.m. at church. Call Pastor David Toeller.

Tuesday

  • Relevant Reading Book Club, meets one Tuesday each month to discuss a different book. This month’s book, “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee. Doris Feider Schlenvogt, 692-6446.

Wednesday

  • Men’s Bible Study. Currently studying Acts. 6:30 p.m. in the church library. Gary Zirbes, 284-284-4697.
  • Women’s Bible Study. Currently studying Joshua. 6:30 p.m. every other Wednesday. Rose Morgan, 284-3886.
  • Prayer Quilt Group. Join with others once a month to make quilts for those in nursing homes. Lori Travis, 284-0917.

Thursday

  • “Life of Christ.” 9 a.m. in the church library. Jim Purdy, 284-5048.

Saturday
