iGnite! is an opportunity every Wednesday night, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., for children 4 years old through 5th grade to gather at Friedens, to learn about God’s love for them through Bible memorization, games and other activities. Ignite is free and is open to all children, whether or not they or their families attend Friedens. Bring a friend and enjoy an evening of music, games, and learning. Exciting new changes in iGnite this year!
Last year was the first year for iGnite. We spent the entire summer evaluating, tweaking, and planning for a new year to make iGnite even better.
Schedule
The evening at iGnite! begins with 20 minutes of singing, and then children are grouped by ages and able to visit 3 different stations (games, lesson, and Bible verses) for 20 minutes each before coming back together for a closing time.
Bible Verses
Bible verse time is an opportunity to learn verses from the Bible and pray. We love Bible verses at Friedens Church. We learn one Bible Verse each week and the verse will be a part of everything we do throughout the night. This year, we will be going through the “one anothers” of the Bible.
For example: On evening, the verse of the night will be Mark 9:50 which states “Live at Peace with one another.” The verse will be introduced during the opening song time where it is explained and the kids will sing songs about living at peace with others. Then they will rotate through the station where they will play games that allow them to practice living at peace, hear a Bible story about someone who lived out living at peace, and spend time praying that God would help them to live at peace. Finally, the closing time will be an exciting skit, story, or experiment that shows how Jesus was an example of the “one another” verse. The emphasis of learning Bible verses is on application of the verse rather than simply knowing which words come after each other. We feel confident that the children will learn important life skills for knowing how to interact with the other people around them in an appropriate way.

Tokens are a fun part of iGnite!
Tokens for Repeat Friend Visits
We are very anxious to have more children come to know God more and we want to encourage students to encourage their friends to return to iGnite! as regular attendees. Students will receive tokens when they bring friends AND when their friends return to future iGnite! gatherings. Their friends will receive tokens also.
Conduct Code
Conduct is very important at iGnite! Our new conduct code helps children know how we expect them to behave when they attend iGnite! There are two simple rules for the children to follow.
Respect the leaders, other students, and the building and Stay with your group.
These two rules are easy to remember and follow, and help to make iGnite! safe and fun for everyone!
