For Children
Friedens offers several areas of service for children on Sundays and during the week. These include:
Promiseland
Promiseland is the Sunday morning Friedens nursery program for children from birth to age 4. Promiseland is available during both the 9 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday morning periods, whether parents attend worship or one of the Adult Bible Fellowships. At Promiseland, children get to know Jesus through Bible stories, songs, playtime and prayer, led by our loving and well-trained Promiseland staff.

Sunday School
Friedens’ Sunday school program is at 9 a.m. and uses a diversity of teaching methods and activities that allow children from pre-school through 5th grade to learn God’s truths at their own speed and in a way suitable for them.

AWANA
Every Wednesday night, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., dozens of children — 4 years old through 6th grade — gather at Friedens for Awana, a weekly club where children learn about God’s love for them through Bible memorization, games and other activities. Children can earn merit badges and participate in contests as they advance through the program. Awana is an international, Bible-centered children’s ministry with thousands of chapters around the world. Awana is free and is open to all children, whether or not they or their families attend Friedens.

Vacation Bible School
Each June, Friedens offers a one-week Vacation Bible School that draws more than 100 children from all over the area for fun, games, treats and life-changing Bible instruction. For more information on next summer’s VBS, call the church office at 284-2471.
