Vacation Bible School Registrations Being Accepted
Wednesday, May 14th, 2008Registrations for this summer’s Vacation Bible School for children age 4 through Grade 5are now being accepted. This year’s theme is “Power Lab: Discovering Jesus’ Miraculous Power” and will be held mornings from June 9 through 13. Cost to attend VBS is $10, but scholarships are available. ‘Prince Caspian’ Showing

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008You now can donate to Friedens and its ministries automatically by filling out an authorization form to have your checking or savings account debited electronically. New Small Groups and Classes
Friday, March 14th, 2008A slate of new small groups and classes begin this Sunday, April 6. New groups and classes include:
Sunday
- “Discerning God’s Will for Your Life,” biblical principles for determing your life’s path. 9 a.m. at church. Facilitated by Dan Benson, (262) 689-7342.
Tuesday
- “That I May Know Him: A Woman’s Bible Study,” a study of three women who knew God intimately — Hagar, Hannah and the woman at the well. 10 a.m. at church, facilitated by Barb Blasing, (262) 618-4537.
Wednesday
- “Faith Application,” a look at issues such as unity, judgmentalism, forgiveness and more. Facilitated by Doris Feider-Schlenvogt, (262) 692-6446.
- “New Members Class,” 6:30 p.m. at church. Taught by Pastor Don Zahurance, (262) 284-2471.
Friday
- “Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage,” A DVD curriculum for couples from Pastor Mark Gungor. 6:30 p.m. in Port Washington. Facilitated by Cliff and Pam Landon, (262) 284-5916.
- “Life Principles from the Old Testament,” a study of the first 7 chapters of the Old Testament and how they relevant to us today. 6:30 p.m. in Port Washington. Facilitated by Robert and Beverly Tyree, (262) 268-1357.

Women Volunteers Needed

Discussion Groups for Teens
Wednesday, September 26th, 2007Besides those that meet on Sunday morning, Friedens sponsors several discussion groups and other activities for children, teens and young adults during the week.
- Blaze for Teens meets at 6:30 p.m. Sunday evenings at church.
- Young Adults Fellowship meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays in Port Washington.
- A co-ed High School group meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the parsonage next door to the church. (Enter on the Harrison Street side.)
- Awana, for children age 4 through 6th grade, meets at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at church.
- Junior High Boys Bible Study meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays in Port.
- Junior High Girls Bible Study meets at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays in Port.

New Classes and Discussion Groups Forming

New mid-week small groups and Sunday morning discussion groups will start the week of Sept. 9. Call the church office,284-2471, or the group leaders listed below to sign up. New Sunday groups include:
- “The Inductive Bible Study Method,” at 9 a.m., taught by Associate Pastor Dr. Don Zahurance. Learn how to read and study the Bible for yourself so you can hear God’s voice speak to you through his Word. Free.
- “Bible 101: A Good Start to the Good Book.” 9 a.m. A discussion for those new to the Bible. Learn how the Bible is organized, where it came from, why there are so many translations. whether it can be trusted and more. Facilitated by Dan Benson, 268-0755. Free.
- “Stop Dating the Church: Fall in Love with the Family of God” by Joshua Harris. 9 a.m. Facilitated by Paul Kopp, 268-1286. $10.
- “Age of Opportunity: A Biblical Guide to Parenting Teens” by Paul David Tripp. 9 a.m. Facilitated by David and Karen Wetzel. $9.
