Friedens' Staff

Friedens is blessed with a stable, dedicated staff team.  In addition to the four "core" staff listed below, Friedens' ministry is strengthened by numerous men and women who generously give of their time, resources, and expertise.

  • Brandon Lemons

    Senior Pastor

Brandon grew up in northeast Missouri. For much of his life, Brandon’s passion was cars. In pursuit of this passion, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering Technology from Minnesota State University-Mankato. However, during Brandon’s sophomore year of college, he learned about the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ and committed his life to following Jesus. As Brandon got more involved in ministry on campus and in his church, God changed his passion from cars to helping people grow as Christ-followers. After graduating from college, Brandon served on the staff of Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ) at North Dakota State University for three years. During this time, he met and married his wife, Shelly. Brandon and Shelly then moved to Illinois, where Brandon received a Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. After graduating in 2009, Brandon began serving as Senior Pastor at Friedens.

Brandon and Shelly have two children, Mikias and Tehila. Besides spending time with his family and friends, Brandon's two primary hobbies are bicycling and reading.

  • Charissa Toeller

Worship Team Leader and Interim Student Ministries Director

As a pastor’s daughter, Charissa was discipled by her parents from an early age and affirmed her personal commitment to follow Jesus in Junior High. Her parents planted a church when she was four, which gave her significant ministry experience from an early age.  Charissa attended Northwestern College in Minneapolis, where she majored in Music and Bible. In 2009, Charissa married David Toeller, who was Friedens’ Pastor of Student Ministries, and in 2010, she began serving as Friedens’ Worship Team Leader.

Charissa and David have three children:  Luke, Jackson, and Alethea.  She enjoys reading, cooking and exercising.

  • Heidi Schuldt

    Administrative Assistant

Heidi grew up in the Port Washington area. After High School, she received a degree in Business Administration from UW-Oshkosh. She worked several years in the corporate world and during that time married her husband, Adam. A few years later, after the birth of their first daughter, she wanted a position that allowed for more family time. Heidi then joined the Friedens team in 2011.

Heidi and Adam three children: Eva, Lily, and Eli. Besides spending time with her family, Heidi enjoys taking classes at the Y, taking her dog for a walk, baking and amateur gardening.
